Regardless of the type of computer, we expect performance to always be like new! But, the reality is that within a few days the PC is no longer as 'fast' as it used to be.
Hobby computers begin to take much longer than necessary with everything from turning on/off, opening and closing files and folders, and browsing.
Once impatiently going to the mechanic to add extra RAM or buy a Windows CD from the market and install the operating system again, even if it is peaceful for a few months,
it is the same problem again and again. But, if you want, you can always keep your PC as fast as new by knowing some small tips at home without going to a mechanic or reinstalling Windows.1. Remove unnecessary programs:
When installing a program many unnecessary programs are installed along with it. Which can slow down your PC's performance. So first remove unnecessary programs. For this, go to the control panel from the Start menu of your PC. From there go to Programs and Features and remove unwanted programs. Uninstall a program
2. Removes unnecessary junk files:
Various unnecessary files are created by itself while running the computer, which slows down our PC to a great extent. To delete these unnecessary files go to Run and type prefetch and press enter and remove all the files. After that type %temp% and press enter and delete all files. To automatically click these tasks, write the following code in a text file and save it. Then rename the file and save it as junk_remover.bat. Now double click the unnecessary junk files will be removed. Code: del C:\Windows\Prefetch\*.* /Q Rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks
3. Regular Disk Defragmenter:
After some time defragment the hard disk. This will speed up your hard disk. To defragment the hard disk, go to properties from My computer. From there go to Performance Information and Tools and finally go to Advanced Tools to Open Disk Defragmenter. And if you want to go directly, type Disk Defragmenter in the Search bar and press Enter. Disk Defragmenter
4. Remove unnecessary files from hard disk by Disk Cleanup:
Go to Start menu and type Disk Cleanup and press Enter. Then select the drive you want to clean. But be careful not to delete it. Disk Cleaner
5. Keep PC virus free:
Viruses can destroy your entire PC. It can also finish all the files you need. You can use good anti virus for this. For this I would recommend Microsoft Security Essential. It can detect much more viruses than so-called antivirus. It comes pre-installed with Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. And you can use USB Disk Security to keep your PC free from malware, spyware and shortcut viruses. Because most viruses spread through USB Pen Drive. Below is the link to the software. Microsoft Security Essentials
6. Remove Malware, Spyware:
Malware, spyware and shortcut viruses etc. mostly spread from pen drives. You can use USB Disk Security to keep your PC free from pen drive viruses.
7. Remove Browsing History and Cookies:
Browsing history and cookies can accumulate in RAM and slow down RAM. So delete browsing history and cookies daily. For this reason, open any browser and press Shift+Ctrl+Delete to delete everything 8. Eliminate Unnecessary Program Startup: Many unnecessary programs are launched when the PC is turned on. Those programs cause the PC to take a long time to start and take up RAM space. To stop unnecessary program autostart, go to Run and type msconfig and press enter and disable all the programs you don't need.
9. To increase performance:
There is another good way to increase PC performance. That is Performance Option. Go to the start menu and enter and the following window will open. From there select the performance as per your requirement. You can customize it if you want.
10. Refresh the drive regularly:
Refresh the drive regularly to keep the PC running. For this, write the following code in the text file and save it as Refresg.bat. Keep the drive active by clicking on it every day.
11. Use third party software:
CCleaner is an excellent third-party software to use to boost PC speed.
12. Selection of useful/unnecessary software
13. Computer is not a place to store pictures, movies or files
14. Disable unnecessary apps by startup optimization
Startup is the process of specifying what software will start automatically when a computer is turned on. In almost all computers, most of the software starts when the PC starts, so the on/off time is very long. In case you have both Vijay and Avro on your computer and both start at the same time when you start the computer - you can enable auto-start of either one and disable the other from here. To see which software on your computer auto-starts and to disable the startup of unnecessary software, press Ctrl+R from the keyboard, type msconfig and press Enter. Now select Startup and disable unnecessary software.
Automatically (Automatically) unnecessary files will be deleted, I have done this in Windows-10 operating system. As a result, the computer will be slightly faster.
Most of us users use CClener or some other software to delete unnecessary files from the computer and sometimes delete unnecessary files manually with the help of this software.
We don't know much about Windows 10
The operating system has a hold feature. Through this feature, the unnecessary files of your computer will be automatically deleted at certain times. It will save valuable storage space on your hard-disk thereby increasing the speed of your computer.
Manually searching for and deleting unnecessary files will not waste valuable time. The computer will automatically delete unnecessary files at the time specified by you.
I am talking about Windows 10's Storage Sense, this feature works like artificial intelligence. Storage plays a role in keeping your PC running by saving your hard disk space. I have been using this feature for a long time. Below are the rules:
- It will automatically delete Junk File at specified time.
- Recycle Bin data will auto delete.
- Unnecessary downloaded files will auto delete (you can set the time)
- No need to repeat the task, once set, your PC will work automatically.
- No extra software required, the feature is built into Windows 10.
- Increases computer speed by freeing up hard disk space.
This feature is only available in Windows 10 operating system.
Now the question is how to activate Storage Sense on your computer.
Windows Start>Setting>System>Storage Sense Here the gear button should be turned on.
It is very difficult to write these things down. Everyone can do this important task very easily by showing the matter step by step through video. The following video shows the details.
